These beautiful 1 5/8" inch end grain cutting boards were handmade in California from choice Walnut, Hard Maple, Sapele and Purpleheart hardwoods.

Due to the nature of the pattern, these are one of a kind boards. I can create this style with your choice of woods, but due to the chaotic pattern, it will not look exactly like this.

They have been treated with high quality food-grade mineral oil and sealed with a mixture of mineral oil and organic, triple filtered beeswax.

To ensure the life of these heirloom quality boards, simply wipe clean with mild soap, water, and a damp cloth and reapply mineral oil when the board becomes dry or lighter in color (or every 6 months).

An end-grain cutting board has the benefits of being both attractive and easy on your knives. An end-grain board also has a very fibrous cutting surface, so a knife's edge is likely to sink into the wood fibers while you are cutting and can "repair" itself, therefore much less likely to leave scars on your board, maintaining it's look for years to come.
